After a promising winter in the Asian Le Mans Series, DKR Engineering confirmed their potential in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS). The Le Castellet circuit was the stage for their first LMP3 victory, marked by an exceptional hat trick: Pole Position, Fastest Lap, and Victory.
🚀 A Steady Rise Since the Start of the Season
Since the beginning of the ELMS season, DKR Engineering has shown impressive performances:
- Barcelona: 2nd fastest qualifying lap, leading until 11 laps from the finish.
- Red Bull Ring: Pole position thanks to a bold strategy on slick tires in the wet, but an early-race contact set them back.

Le Castellet was the ideal race:
- Pole Position secured in qualifying.

🏁 “A Huge Satisfaction After So Much Effort”
Q: Two days after the victory, how do you feel?
L.H.: Really, really great! We’ve worked incredibly hard since the start of the season. It’s an immense satisfaction to finally achieve this victory.
🔍 “Mental Training and Intensive Preparation”
Q: What was the key change this season?
L.H.: My work with a mental coach has been crucial. Also, my increased track time this winter allowed me to push the car’s limits with much greater confidence.
🚗 “DKR Engineering Feels Like Family”
Q: How would you describe your relationship with DKR Engineering?
L.H.: This is my third year with them, and it truly feels like family. We have total trust in each other, which is essential for performance.
🔧 “A More Stable and High-Performing Car”
Q: What improvements have you noticed on the DUQUEINE D08?
L.H.: This year, the car is more stable thanks to braking system adjustments made by DKR last winter. It remains consistent throughout stints, allowing us to maintain an excellent race pace.
🏆 “Goal: Win the ELMS Championship!”
Q: What are your goals for the rest of the season?
L.H.: Our goal is to win the ELMS championship! After Red Bull Ring, it seemed tough, but now that we’re 2nd in the standings, we are more confident than ever.

With this first ELMS victory, DKR Engineering and the DUQUEINE D08 are now serious contenders for the LMP3 title. The rest of the season promises to be exciting, with every point counting towards the championship.
