14 September 2026 – The sixth round of the European Le Mans Series took place this weekend at Silverstone. After a turbulent start to the race, the #30 LMP2 car driven by Doriane Pin, Richard Verschoor and Giorgio Roda managed to fight its way back up the field to finish fourth. This result keeps the French team well-placed in the LMP2 PRO/AM championship.
The weekend got off to a rather quiet start for the #30 car. On Friday morning, during Free Practice 1, Doriane Pin, Richard Verschoor and Giorgio Roda finished tenth in the class.
A few hours later, Giorgio Roda put in a fine performance during the Bronze Test. With a fastest lap of 1:45.490, the Italian topped the session and confirmed the #30’s potential.
The car continued to improve during Free Practice 2 on Saturday morning, finishing eighth.
In qualifying, Giorgio Roda ultimately secured a place on the second row for the #30, with the third-fastest time in the class. This was an unusual result for the Italian driver, who is used to pole positions.
Giorgio Roda took the start and drove the first two stints at the wheel of the #30 car. However, the start of the race proved to be difficult. Between several incidents on the track and time lost in the pits, the car slipped to the bottom of the LMP2 PRO/AM standings.
Although rain had not been forecast, the weather suddenly took a turn for the worse, making track conditions particularly tricky. Doriane Pin then took over with a clear mission: to climb back up the order. The French driver staged an excellent recovery and gradually managed to bring the #30 closer to the leading group.
Richard Verschoor took the wheel for the final stint in severely reduced visibility. The Dutchman held his nerve right up to the chequered flag despite the difficult conditions and crossed the finish line in fourth place.
“Doriane and Richard did a brilliant job of bringing the car back up to fourth place. They performed well in particularly difficult conditions, with very poor visibility. Richard fought like a lion to hold onto the position; it was great to see,” said Fabien Lavergne, Team Manager.
This fourth-place finish means the #30 car remains firmly in the running for the LMP2 PRO/AM title.
Following the Silverstone round, just six points separate Duqueine Team from the championship leader. Despite a turbulent weekend, the #30 car therefore retains every chance ahead of the season’s final round.
“Our fate is still in our own hands. So we’re going to give it our all at Portimão!” says Fabien Lavergne.
The championship finale will take place on 10 October in Portimão. It will be a decisive final round for Doriane Pin, Richard Verschoor, Giorgio Roda and the whole Duqueine Team, who will have one last chance to fight for the title right to the very end.
