🏁 Asian Le Mans Series 2022: The D08 Proves Its Potential
The 2022 edition of the Asian Le Mans Series, condensed into two weekends from February 10 to 20, brought together a high-quality grid despite ongoing health restrictions.
On the Dubai Autodrome and Yas Marina circuits, three D08 cars were entered by the following teams:
✔️ DKR Engineering, ELMS 2021 champion
✔️ Rinaldi Racing in partnership with WTM
✔️ Koiranen Kemppi Motorsport, looking to gain experience
With 4 pole positions, 1 victory, and 2 podiums, the D08 proved its competitiveness against strong opposition.
🚀 DKR Engineering: A Perfect Record in Qualifying!
Already dominant in ELMS 2021, DKR Engineering confirmed its exceptional level at the 2022 Asian Le Mans Series.
🏆 A flawless performance in qualifying: 4 poles in 4 races, thanks to the talent of Laurents Hörr, securing over a one-second gap on his rivals.
💨 Impressive race pace:
In Dubai, the team led comfortably before a technical issue disrupted their run.
In Abu Dhabi, DKR took a commanding win in Race 1 and finished the competition with the fastest LMP3 lap time.
🥉 Rinaldi Racing / WTM: A Solid 3rd Place in the Championship
For their first participation, the Rinaldi Racing – WTM partnership demonstrated remarkable consistency, securing 3rd place overall.
