The 24H of Le Mans is more than just an endurance race—it’s a legend, a dream for all motorsport enthusiasts. This 90th edition marked the grand return of fans, the famous weigh-in ceremony in the city center, and the driver parade. Among the crowd were passionate DUQUEINE Team supporters, eager to cheer on the Oreca #30.
With a strong driver lineup—Richard BRADLEY, Reshad DE GERUS, and Memo ROJAS—the Alès-based team embarked on a demanding yet exhilarating journey. Let’s look back at their performance, resilience, and fighting spirit.
On Wednesday, June 9, young Reshad DE GERUS took part in his first-ever Le Mans qualifying session. Despite the immense pressure and intense competition, he delivered an impressive performance:
✔️ 11th place in LMP2, just a few tenths away from the Hyperpole.
✔️ DUQUEINE Team’s best qualifying result in four Le Mans participations.
This strong qualifying effort set the stage for a promising race, with a competitive car ready to fight at the front.
On Saturday, June 11, British driver Richard BRADLEY took the start of this 90th edition in front of an electrified crowd of over 250,000 spectators. From the first laps, the battle for a Top 10 spot was fierce.
After an impressive triple stint, Reshad DE GERUS took over, showing determination and aggressive racing on track.
While the car was performing strongly, an electronic issue with the FIA control box forced the team to return to the garage. This unexpected problem pushed the Oreca #30 to the back of the LMP2 field.
Despite this setback, the team never gave up:
✅ The mechanics executed a lightning-fast repair.
✅ The engineers adjusted the race strategy to maximize performance.
✅ The drivers delivered consistent and solid stints.
Thanks to an impressive race pace and flawless pit stops, DUQUEINE Team climbed back up the rankings, proving its remarkable reliability.
On Sunday, June 12, at 4:00 PM, after an intense night and a perfectly executed final stint, the Oreca #30 crossed the finish line!
This valuable experience will serve the team well for the rest of the season. With their eyes now set on Monza, the next ELMS round, DUQUEINE Team is ready to build on the lessons learned from this 24H of Le Mans adventure.
