Le Mans will be an unforgettable memory for the DUQUEINE D08, which demonstrated its full potential with outstanding performances. In the qualifying sessions for both races, the D08 consistently claimed the pole positions. But what makes this car truly remarkable is not just its speed over a single lap. Indeed, it dominated the competition during the race as well, with the fastest laps recorded by a D08, proving its effectiveness and reliability throughout the race distance.
During the qualifying sessions for both races, the DUQUEINE D08 made a strong impression by consistently securing pole positions. But its success didn’t stop there. It also dominated the race with two fastest laps and ultimately claimed victory. These performances highlight the reliability and speed of the D08, essential assets in endurance racing.
For the first race, the Rinaldi n°66 started in 3rd position. Despite a long period under the safety car, the team executed a perfect strategy, allowing them to finish in 2nd place. The second race was also promising, with a 6th place start and a 4th place finish. N.Varrone, driver of Rinaldi, also set the fastest lap of the race. Although the qualifications were challenging, the Rinaldi team showed excellent race pace, progressing throughout the race and finishing ahead of their starting position.
The Mülhner Motorsport n°21 experienced two very different races. The first race saw them starting in 2nd position, but a bad pit stop timing ruined their chances, finishing in 21st place. In contrast, for the second race, the team started from pole position and did not miss the opportunity, taking the victory. U.De Wild and M.Krantz dominated the race and clinched the top spot on the podium. Meanwhile, Mülhner n°18 benefited from a timely pit stop strategy, climbing to 6th place in the first race, and finishing 13th in the second.
The TS Corse team started the first race from 24th place. However, thanks to an excellent start, they managed to gain several positions, reaching 10th place. Unfortunately, a contact incident towards the end of the race forced them to retire. Starting from last place in the second race, TS Corse made the most of their strategy and determination, climbing through the field to finish 26th overall and 24th in LMP3.
Like DKR n°1, WTM Racing faced difficulties with a contact incident in the first race, forcing them to retire. Despite this setback, in the second qualifying session, WTM put in a fantastic performance, securing the 4th fastest time. Frustrated by the DNF in the first race, the team fought back to finish 7th in the second race.
Grainmarket Racing had a challenging weekend. Starting from the back of the grid in the first race, they were forced to retire after an incident. However, their race pace remained solid, as evidenced by their recovery after a difficult start in the second race, finishing 21st.
The DKR Engineering n°4, starting from pole position in the first race, was caught out by a poor pit stop timing, finishing in 19th place. Despite this misfortune, L.Hörr recorded the fastest lap of the race. In the second race, another incident led to another retirement for the team. Meanwhile, DKR n°1 faced a race-ending incident in the first race, and despite a good starting position in the second, an accident saw them finish 28th.
