The 24 hours of Le Mans is THE race to dream about. Every motorsport fans knows this race.
The 90th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans was marked by the return of the fans, the scrutineering in the city center and the parade. Among them, many DUQUEINE Team fans were present.
As in the ELMS, the #30 Oreca was driven by Richard BRADLEY, Reshad DE GERUS and Memo ROJAS. After a rainy scrutineering, the Alesian team started its Mancelle campaign on a high note.
On Wednesday 9th June, the young man from Reunion Island took part in the qualifications. For his first qualifying session at Le Mans, Reshad placed the #30 Oreca in 11th place, just a few tenths behind the Hyperpole. The best result in 4 participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
On Saturday 11th June 2022, Richard BRADLEY, the British, took the start of this 90th edition in front of more than 250,000 people. The first laps went well and Richard was already fighting for places in the Top 10. After a triple stint by BRADLEY, Reshad took the wheel of the #30 Oreca.
His stint was unfortunately halted by an electronic problem with the FIA box, which forced the team to take the car back to the box. The DUQUEINE Team found itself at the bottom of the LMP2 standings.
Despite this, the mechanics, engineers and drivers did not give up and ran an exemplary race to the finish. The drivers put in a series of good stints and the mechanics excelled during the Pit Stop. The Oreca #30 managed to recover laps lost during the last stints.
And on Sunday 12th June at 4pm, after a good last stint and a very good pit stop, DUQUEINE Team crossed the finish line!
Just back from Le Mans, the team is already focused on the next ELMS meeting. In Monza, DUQUEINE Team will take advantage of the experience gained during this edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
