For this championship, 3 D08 took part : DKR Engineering, 2021 ELMS champion, Rinaldi Racing with WTM and Koiranen Kemppi Motorsports.

The D08 knew to show all its potential, in particular at the time of the qualifications by signing a 4/4 with the #2 of DKR Engineering. Moreover at the time of the race 2 of Abu Dhabi, our 3 D08 found themselves in head, during one moment!

DKR ENGINEERING : RECEIVED 4/4

DKR Engineering did not fail in its habit. The Luxembourg team and its driver, Laurents Hörr signed the 4 Pole Positions and this with more than a second ahead of his rivals.

Started in head of the two races in Dubai, the first weekend, DKR led of a master hand until the appearance of a technical problem. Despite this, they remained the fastest on the track.

The Luxembourgers arrived in Abu Dhabi with the desire for revenge. Result: 2/2 Pole Position and a controlled victory in the first race.

Accosted twice during the second race, DKR fought until the chequered flag, signing the best time of the LMP3.

RINALDI / WTM, 3RD IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

For their first participation WTM, associated with Rinaldi Racing, climbs on the 3rd step of the podium in the general classification.

Consistent throughout the championship with three 4th places (2 in Dubaï and 1 in Abu Dhabi), the German team was rewarded on Saturday 19 February, during the first race on the Yas Marina track where they finished 2nd.

A PROMISING TEAM FOR THE FUTURE

For its first championship at the wheel of our D08, Koiranen Kemppi Motorsport showed the quality of its crew. After a somewhat difficult weekend in Dubai, the Finnish team showed what it was capable of in Yas Marina. Koiranen qualified fourth in both qualifying sessions and then led Race 2 in Abu Dhabi for a long time. Unfortunately the driver, who was ill, was unable to reach the finish line after a superb race.

This only bodes well for the rest of the 2022 season.
